Tone of Voice:
Hungry. In your face. And really, really serious.
People: We are hungry
We are ordinary people with wants and needs. A moral compass, a sense of justice and we are hungry for change. We use this hunger for fuel and communicate like our next meal depends on it.
Vs: We are in your face
This is a fight! And we are ready for it. We are adversarial. Bombastic. Not shy. We have a point of view and do what it takes to get the message through to you. Which side are you on?
Big Tech: We are really, really serious
This is not a joke. This is not a drill. Big tech is a big f****ing problem. We’re talking about human rights here. We’re talking about the future of democracy. We’ve already successfully changed the law! We’re not serious in the sense of being boring or academic. We’re serious like superheroes. Laser focused, locked on. Sights set on saving the world. In 3…2…1…
Strategy: “Unpollute the Internet”
Fighting for a brighter future by fighting against Toxic Tech
Big Tech is a multi-billion dollar industry pedalling toxic waste.
People Vs Big Tech is the growing global movement, fighting for a brighter future.
We are living in an intensely polluted information ecosystem. Where enormous corporations exploit our insecurities to keep our eyeballs hooked on screens. These “Toxic Tech” companies are devastating public health, human rights, civil liberties and democracy around the world. All while making obscene amounts of money for themselves.
“These huge corporations employ armies of engineers to exploit our frailties, weaknesses and insecurities. What’s the cost? Addiction, anxiety, apathy, anger, depression, division and hate.”
We demand a fundamental rethink of the toxic Big Tech business model. We want to ban brainwashing for profit. We want to ban addictive design. We want to protect our children’s brains from harm.
This is the defining public health crisis of our time. This is the defining societal challenge of our time. This is the defining fight of our time.
We like the internet. But there’s a disconnect. Between the extraordinary ways it can connect and empower us. And life in a constant state of surveillance and manipulation. It’s time to fight back. Hold power to account. Restart the internet. Reboot the router.
Maybe you’re doomscrolling, maybe you’re thumbflipping, maybe you’re online shopping. You’re not alone. We are ordinary people taking action against global tech corporations. Using our collective voice. Fighting for justice. Fighting for the public interest. Fighting for a better, safer and brighter digital future. The future of democracy. The future of communities. The future of marginalised voices. And we are going to keep fighting until change happens.
Big Tech is toxic. Time to detox Big Tech.
